Committee activities
- 1. Trading Reform Committee

(1) Full-scale response to the 2024 logistics issue (revisions effective April 2024)
(2) Promote efficiency throughout the supply chain, including standardization of various types of vouchers (in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry)
(3) Conduct research on the ideals of department stores in the digital age and the DX promotion needed to realize them (in collaboration with the Digital Agency & Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry)
- 2. Overseas Tourist Attraction Committee

(1) Advocate for fundamental revisions of the duty-free store system (transition to refund system) and support for the operation of the current system for member stores (in partial collaboration with the Tax & Accounting Committee)
(2) Utilize local tourism resources, improve tourism content (traditional crafts, food, etc.), and disseminate information to spread the effects of tourism to rural areas
(3) Efforts to attract visitors seeking high value-added shopping experiences to Japan and expand and improve consumption by overseas tourists
- 3. Payment System Renovation and Systemization Promotion Committee

(1) Compliance with the operational guidelines of the Installment Sales Act, including the introduction of measures against fraudulent use in e-commerce
(2) Planning of customer referral campaigns in collaboration with credit card companies, etc.
(3) Planning of DX research seminars on the use of generative AI, etc.
(4) Research and activities aimed at solving issues with Tomonokai projects such as reducing unspent balances, basic supervisory policies, etc.
